A system that isn't live isn't finished. If something is blocked you hear the reason the week it happens, rather than at the end framed as a surprise.
Boring technology, interesting problems
The novelty should be what you're solving, not the stack we picked to solve it with. Well-supported tools mean the next person can pick it up.
Own your systems
We build things you can take elsewhere. A client who stays because leaving is painful isn't really a client.
Say the hard thing early
If the scope is wrong or the budget doesn't match the ambition, you hear it on the first call rather than in week five when it's expensive.
